About Me

I live in a little area of northern Illinois.  I have raised 4 great kids, two biological and two adopted through the foster care system.  Our oldest daughter is in college, our oldest son is a United States Marine, one son is in high school and one is finding his way in life.

I like art, any kind at all.  I relax by reading, sewing, painting, working out, and taking a walk.  My mind is always thinking, even when I sleep, lol.  I am a dreamer and a doer.

My real job is as property and casualty insurance agent where I assist people in protecting their hard earned assets.

If all that is not enough, I have discovered a passion for writing and work as a free-lance writer.

I am small in stature (some would say vertically challenged) and strong in spirit. Some people describe me as a cross between Madeleine Albright and Leigh Anne Touhy.

  1. Toni, nice website. I thank you for responding to my Facebook posts regarding Artyom Savelyev, and my experience with being un-adopted. It’s just nice to connect with someone else who can empathise. I have felt that my situation and background is so unique all my life. Now I am seeing that perhaps I have something in common with many other people. Also, I see that you have the gift of compassion and empathy. It’s good to connect with you. :)
